Health & safety is our first priority. As a non-operator, we work closely with our Mnazi Bay joint venture partners to apply rigorous standards of health & safety on site. We monitor performance closely, and regularly disclose data to our government partners to ensure transparency and effective action.
A rigorous approach
Through proactive risk management, systematic measurement, ongoing risk-reporting and comprehensive training of all personnel — including our suppliers and contractors — we are delivering a safer, more secure work environment. We are proud of our track-record:
Lost Time Incident Rate
Serious Incident Rate
Total Recordable Incident Rate
Our response to COVID-19
To protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our people and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, we implemented robust precautionary measures at our Mnazi Bay operations. Together with our partners Maurel & Prom and the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) we supplied vital PPE, medical supplies, and equipment to hospitals in Mtwara and Dar es Salaam.
Putting safety first
The safety and health of all persons, as well as the quality of the environment, should be protected. Wentworth is committed to responsible actions with regard to the effects of its operations on the environment and the people of the local communities. At Wentworth we recognise our legal and moral obligation to safeguard the health and safety of our employees, stakeholders and community members whilst protecting the environment in which we operate.
We will integrate sound health and safety management practices into all aspects of our business in line with our mission and values.
